Yay!

**Before the shots...we are both so nervous!
So Carson had his 2 month check up...everything was great except for the shots! Oh the terror! The nurse pinned his legs down and gave him 3 different shots. I have no idea why, but after the shots she gave him an oral immunization which of course he gagged out because he was screaming uncontrollably. Why she didn't give him the oral first? I have no idea. He was so sad the rest of the day and wouldn't eat till about 5 pm. Adam and I spoiled him all day...never putting him down and walking around with him to soothe him. Luckily, the next day he was back to being smiley Carson (that is, when Adam was around).
During the doctors visit, he put Carson on his belly to test his neck strength and to see if he was able to hold his head up. Nothing. Carson just laid there. So, I decided I needed to get serious about training my boy. I lay him on his stomach sometimes, but he always gets sad so I pick him up. Not this time and he actually lasted a lot longer! AND HE DID IT! Carson is officially a strong necked man!

Carson only sucks his thumb when someone other than Adam and I are holding him. I guess its only then that he feels it is ok(which it's not!).

It is ridiculous. I feed him, change his dirty butt, keep him clean, comfort him, put him to sleep, and play with him all day and ADAM gets ALL the smiles! I guess it is because Adam is just so funny looking! Ok, AND he is a really great dad! :) Happy Fathers Day Adam! I love you!

Blessing Day!!

Today Adam had the opportunity to give Carson his name and a blessing in the Lilburn Ward. Adam said as soon as he was about to begin the prayer, Carson spit out his pacifier and just stared up at him peacefully. It was a really special experience and I felt so blessed to have a husband who could give our child a blessing and sincerely pray that he would know we loved him and would be strong in the gospel throughout his life. Carson has brought more joy into our lives than we ever could have imagined. He has really made our family complete...that is, until the next one.
