Merry Christmas to all.

Alison, Carson, Me, Rebecca, and Joseph. My bestest came to town and I was so glad I got to see her! Joseph is so smiley and so sweet. I hope I get to see a lot more of him (and his mommy too)!
Carson crawled into the tent that Grandma Rogers made for Ben and Olivia so that he could be with Ben but, when Ben got out, I opened the tent and Carson looked horrified.
Christmas lunch at the Rogers. I was loving the silverware stockings.
Carson actually tore off some of the wrapping paper to his present. It was a sweet car! Who knew 8 month babies could drive??
Carson- riding the rocking horse Adam and I got for him. It was hilarious. As soon as we put his hands on the handles, he took one hand off and waved it in the air like he was riding a bull.
Christmas morning at the Wallace home.
Carson wanted to play with the box his new toy came in from Grandma Wallace. Meh, who needs toys?
All the excitement so early in the morning was a little overwhelming for little Carson. He looked a lot like the picture above for most of the morning until nap time.
My sister, Amanda, and Carson waiting to go downstairs to see what Santa brought.
Grandma Wallace and Carson on Christmas morning.
Grandma Rogers and Carson the snowman on Christmas Eve at Dinisha's parent's house.
Carson, Linley, Graham, and Ryder posing for some cute cousin pictures. Carson loved having his cousins around!
All the Wallace women. It was great to have everyone home! We already miss you, Erica and Amanda!

I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas! I know we did! Thank you to our families for making ours and Carson's first Christmas so special! We love you all.

Carson can't be trusted.

Crazy boy.
I sat him on the couch next to me and then watched him as he turned around, pulled himself up, and climbed higher up on the couch to look out the blinds at Daddy. He watched and smiled at everyone outside for like 5 minutes and then got mad when I pulled him down. Everyone outside thought it was hilarious. I thought it was scary. I don't think Carson will be allowed on the couch anymore.

Very promising...

Adam and I decided after several nights of Carson waking at least 5 times a night that we had to let him cry. He falls asleep on his own at 7:30 and then woke to nurse at 10:30. He cried for 5 minutes and then 10 minutes. Both times I went to comfort him, I left him in his bed and just placed my hand on his cheek. He fell asleep the second time I went in to him. He didn't wake up again until 7 a.m. Last night he woke at 11:00 and I did nurse him then he didn't wake again till 5:30. I know it is still a little early to call but, I think Carson may have figured out how to sleep! Oh the happiness.

Twilight

While we were on Thanksgiving vacation, we went to see Twilight. It wasn't what I had hoped for but, I did like it. Here are some of my thoughts:

The characters were all really beautiful.
Bella was way more beautiful than I imagined in the books.
Edward was more attactive in the movie than I thought he would be when I found out he would play Edward.
Edward needs to learn his character better before the next movie.
I needed more chemistry from Edward and Bella. I was hoping for more love story.
I thought Edward was kind of rude in the movie where in the books I imagined him as overly caring and sensitive (minus the beginning before he ever even talked to Bella.)
Hopefully New Moon will have a better director because while I thought this movie was mediocre, I am expecting the next one to be amazing. A girl can have high hopes, right?

ANYWAYS,
Carson has made some big advancements this week. He learned to roll over both ways (bout time, I know.),  he figured out how to take 2 naps each for 2 hours where as before he was napping for about 30 mins at a time, and yesterday he started army crawling!!

And then it was Christmas...

I made this hat for Carson. It turned out way better than I imagined. Thank you Denise for teaching me and supplying me with all the tools.
I just love this picture of Olivia. So stinkin' cute.  Can you believe Denise made them all matching Christmas pajamas??? Wonder woman, I tell ya.
Olivia loving Carson. A common occurence throughout this vacation.
Papa-Daddy sharing the Christmas spirit reindeer style.
Isn't this sweet? Brian tying his pregnant wife's, Dinisha, shoes.

Carson with his antlers.
Ben and Carson playing with Dinisha and Brian's dog.
Poor dog got the ole ear pull.

Carson opening his first Christmas present...homeade pj's from Grandma. They are sooo cute!

Thanksgiving!!

Carson's first Thanksgiving.
Carson got to try a little bit of turkey. He ate it all up.
Grandma with her little Thanksgiving indians.
The tables all set up for the feast.
Susan, Dinisha, and myself made these candy turkeys for each person. They turned out pretty cute.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!!!! I know we did.

The Rogers have arrived.

Carson took his first bath without his baby bathtub. It wouldn't fit in the car. He seriously loved it but, it was pretty stressful for me to keep him from not getting on his belly to play in the water.
Carson's first real swing ride. He was laughing and loving it at first but, got pretty bored after only a couple of minutes.
I love that Olivia's bow is attached to her beanie. Always have to have a bow. Always.
Wagon ride with Grandma. Denise said that Ben and Olivia were talking a lot to Carson and then Carson let out a huge happy scream to get some talking time in. Haha.

Adam, Rick, Ben, and Olivia out on the beach looking at the dolphins that came to visit us almost everyday.
Olivia and Ben waiting for Papa to finish fixing the golf cart.
Carson and Papa playing together.

Vacation at the beach

Adam, Carson, and myself left for the Rogers family Thanksgiving vacation a couple days early so that we could spend some time alone as a family. It was the first time the three of us had time like this since Carson was born. It was very nice and a tad romantic but, after a couple of days, we were really excited for the rest of the family to get there. We enjoyed taking walks together on the beach even though it was pretty freezing. Carson didn't really like being bundled up but, he seemed to love being out on the beach- seeing the ocean, sand, dogs, and little crabs.

The first day we got there, the house was FREEZING so this is how Carson took his nap.
