Placenta, if you weren't providing nourishment to my baby girl, I would really dislike you.

Muscles! He squeezes his fists and teeth so hard and shakes when he flexes. Pretty adorable.
Carson trying to get to my gum at any cost. Don't worry, he made it safely down and then visited time out. Still, I think this naughty boy is pretty dang cute and clearly driven!

I had another bleeding episode this morning. It was a lot more than last time so we headed to the hospital in a hurry. I left a urine sample, got hooked up to the non-stress test monitors, and had another super long ultrasound where they discovered my placenta had moved enough to have a vaginal delivery. Soon after, I had a visit from my doctor where she let me know a vaginal delivery was still not a good idea since I had this amount of bleeding (boooo). She wanted to keep me over night since I hadn't totally stopped bleeding and this was my second time, but I was able to talk her out of it since Adam had worked last night and hadn't had any sleep.
The doctor told me it was becoming more likely that I will be delivering her early so she ordered steroid shots. I got one today and have to get another tomorrow morning. Holy smokes, those things are painful!!! Not recommended, people.
I'm on bed rest for the day, but I am pretty sure I will just go back to pelvic rest tomorrow after the second steroid shot and another non-stress test.
As for now, both the baby and I are fine. Everything is looking good, I'm feeling fine, and she is still moving like crazy. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I know they have helped.

Another appointment.

I had another appointment yesterday. We learned a little more and had some things cleared up. From now on, I will be having 2 extra appointments a week, in addition to my regular appointments, where I will be getting a sonogram and a non-stress test.
I was wrong about getting the amniocentesis at 34 weeks. They will be doing this around 35 or 36 weeks. If her lungs are developed, I will have a c-section the next day. If they are not, they will start her on steroids and do the c-section at the end of 37 weeks or beginning of 38 weeks.
If I have any more red bleeding, even spotting, I am supposed to go the hospital. I found out that even a little bit of spotting can be extremely dangerous to the baby. If I have any more bleeding, there is a possibility I will have to go on bed rest. Unfortunately, if they put me on bed rest, I have to stay at the hospital. So here is to hoping I don't have any more bleeding!!!
The doctor told me that I am supposed to do as little as possible. Pretty much everything I do puts friction on my placenta and increases my chances of bleeding. Adam has really stepped up. As soon as he wakes up, he starts doing dishes and picking up before I even attempt to do it. He has either been making dinner or helping with dinner so I'm not standing up for too long. He's too good to me and I love him so much.
Sooooooooooooo.....We are having a baby in about ONE MONTH! Holy smokes!

Pictures I pulled off my phone.

One of my attempts to potty train Carson. He sat on this potty for like 20 minutes doing nothing, got up, and then pooped in his underwear.
Sweet mustache.
Stop at Steak n' Shake on the way to Georgia. Carson dumped the milkshake almost immediately after this picture.
Watching movies on the way to Georgia.
Carson had to be the first to try out the new chair in the nursery. He loves it. So do I.
Making pizza at Carrabbas.
Playing in the water by the curb. This happens daily.
Carson in his bedroom. He saw his red eyes in this picture (they were even redder before I attempted to fix them) and said, "Woah, my eyes, mommy. I a scary monster." He's so funny.

Trip to hospital.

We had a little scare yesterday. I had some bleeding in the morning that eventually turned into just spotting. My doctor still wanted me to go into labor and delivery to have some tests done. After several hours, a non-stress test, the longest ultrasound ever, a billion questions, blood work, and urine test, everything was just fine.
I stayed surprisingly calm, where I would usually be freaking out. Adam gave me a sweet blessing right before we left and I knew everything would work out. The nurse told me I needed to do a lot of resting and take some iron supplements and to just come back in if I had any more heavy bleeding. We feel very blessed. I'm enjoying even those aggressive karate kid kicks for now.
So today I have been trying to do more resting than I usually do. It is hard for me to just sit still when I look around at my gross house and a baby's room that hasn't been finished. I am hoping that I will feel more normal and have energy soon so I can feel ready for our baby girl's arrival. My nesting desire is taking over. I want to clean and organize everything and it is super hard to ignore those feelings.
On a side note-Carson has become really protective of me. Every time we go downstairs together and I have something in my hand, Carson says, "Mommy, I hold it. It's too heavy." Haha, I think Adam must have said that once or something because I could be holding a toy car and now it is too heavy and he has to hold it for me. He's my cute and wild boy.

An update

So, I had an appointment on Monday. It was slightly depressing. Here is what we learned:
  • After some pleading, my doctor said I could have another ultrasound around 34 weeks to see if my placenta moved. However, she said since it hadn't moved at all in 5 weeks, it wasn't likely.
  • My placenta can only be covering as much as 1 cm of my cervix for them to consider a vaginal delivery. Mine is almost covering my cervix entirely.
  • They will do an amniocentesis at 34 weeks to see if our baby's lungs are developed.
  • If she has good lungs, I will be having a c-section at 36 weeks because it would be very bad news if I went into labor (on a side note, I have no idea what happens if her lungs aren't ready.)
  • Labor can put even more pressure on my placenta and cause hemmoraging: real bad for me and the baby.
I was pretty shocked when she threw out having the baby at 36 weeks. I never even considered having our baby that early. I thought if I had a c-section it would be around 39 weeks. I'm still trying to talk the doctor into letting me go longer for the sake of our baby. Adam is trying to talk me into 36 weeks for the sake of me. The doctor said she wasn't sure if it was a good idea to go past 36 weeks, but would consider it since I haven't had any bleeding. We shall see.

Despite all of this, Adam and I feel like everything will be just fine. Even though I am super nervous, as long as our baby is healthy, we have no reason not to be so happy. We have been praying a lot and have felt strength from all of our loved ones who are praying for us, too. We can't wait to meet our baby girl. However, I am feeling a little behind on quite a few things. For starters, we don't have any idea what to name her. Help us out.

Baby girl name ideas???
