Ahem.

Isn't this is a pretty hospital? It is new and from the picture, I think it is pretty lovely. Apparently, the people that work there are also lovely. Adam will be joining those lovely people and begin his journey as a man nurse.
Man nurse. That's sexy.
Well, we tried to find a way around it, but some things are meant to be. God wants us to join the people of misery. Oh oops. I mean Missouri. Yes, we are moving to Independence at the end of May. Miss me.
I was joking about the misery part. While I am super scared to face my social problems, new place anxiety, and extreme fear of having no idea where I am going (I have a clear anxiety problem-don't judge), I am actually really excited for Adam to have a real job, a real income, and to finally start the life we have been hoping for (or at least being able to finally start saving for the life we have been hoping for).
Adam has worked extremely hard to get us to this point. I am so proud of him and thankful for all he has done for our family.

A Handy Manny Birthday!

On Saturday, we celebrated Carson's 2nd birthday with a Handy Manny party! Most of Carson's family and friends were able to make it, but apparently we forgot about the camera for most of his party. Carson definitely felt special and loved. Thank you to everyone for coming and for your sweet and thoughtful presents.
The big boy table.
Happy Birthday, Carson!
Tracy made this awesome Handy Manny cake! She is the best! Thanks, Trace.
All the yummy food.
After we sang "Happy Birthday," Carson actually blew out his candle. It was pretty stinkin' adorable. Then, he tried to lick off some frosting. Yum!
Mmmm...chocolate cupcake!
Birthday Boy cupcakes.
Opening presents. Aiwyn and Carson both loved the fun blocks!
Carson went crazy from his ball from Godfather Griffin (GG). It took some time to get him to open the rest of his presents after this one.
Had to play catch for a while.
Just not letting go.
Tracy, Elliot, and Graham got Carson this adorable framed picture to keep in Carson's room when we move. So sweet. They also got him hot cheetos which Carson refers to as "my spicy." This makes me happy.
Carson also got this sweet train set. I think the adults had more fun that night making tracks than Carson did! Good toy!
Chooo Choooo!

Thank you again everyone! We had a blast!! Carson has loved his new toys, his new book, and new paints! He is one lucky little boy!

Stone Mountain

On Thursday, Carson's birthday festivities continued. Adam and I took Carson to Stone Mountain. Carson had a blast to say the least.
First stop....the candy store! Ok...mostly we went there because I wanted candy, but Carson got to choose some too.
Carson chose chocolate covered raisins. I asked him to show me his chocolate. I meant the bag or a piece, but instead he opened his mouth and let me check it out. Yummy!
Carson was real excited. He was running around like a happy lil' crazy!
We later got Dip n' Dots. I realize it looks like we ate a lot of junk, and we did, but we did also eat a healthy lunch before and apples for snacks!
After walking all around and chasing Carson around the park, we played with Carson's ball on the grass. He had the best time. He slept like a rock that night. Mmm...sunshine does a body good.

Birthday Dinner!

Adam had to work on Carson's birthday so we decided to take him out the night before. We took him to Mellow Mushroom and ordered pepperoni pizza with sides of ranch. Carson loves dipping his pizza (and most things) in ranch. After eating a slice, he decided the easiest thing to do would be to drink the ranch. This isn't the first time he has tried this yummy drink. It's his birthday...so he can get away with it! Isn't he cute? We love this little guy!

Easter.

Carson had an Easter egg hunt all by himself at Grandma Rogers. Poor guy. We particularly missed having Ben and Olivia around. Needless to say, Carson had a great time and collected all the eggs. We even let him eat a few chocolates.

Carson, I am obsessed with you.

My friend, Angie, sweetly took Spring pictures of our little boy. I think they turned out so great.

I got the one above on canvas. So cute!

Raise the roof. Woot, woot.

Carson is crazy about his sunglasses. He always wants his on when outside, especially if Adam has his on. He is the dorky kid at the park with sunglasses and socks with shorts.
This is Carson with his girlfriend/bff, Abby. They love each other so much!
