Allie's First Birthday

My sweet Allie has turned one. I can't even believe it. Maybe that's because she doesn't walk yet? Not sure, but she still seems like a baby to us. We had a little party at our house with just our families. It was fun and she seemed to love the attention. Carson was loving having so many cousins in one place.
Thank you to everyone who came and for your perfect gifts. She is loving them all.

Tracy made this awesome cake. I requested pinwheels and she actually figured out how to make them! A couple of them melted, but that didn't make them any less impressive. The top of the cake was for Allie and the inside was rainbow colors. That Tracy is so great.

Notice Carson stealing Allie's first birthday wish.

She seriously thought the whole cake was for her. Hilarious.

Her party was after her birthday. On her birthday, she got a gift from Nana (Adam's grandma). It was pretty cute to watch her and Carson open it.

 Thief alert.

Adam and I were able to go to Utah about two weeks ago for one of Adam's mission buddy's wedding. It was my first time leaving Allie overnight and only my second time leaving her ever. We missed our kids like crazy and were so excited to get back home and snuggle them, but it sure was exciting and renewing to have some much needed time alone and with our great friends that we hadn't seen in a very long time.
We hadn't seen Scott and Natalie in nearly 4 years. It was so fun to reunite with them. It was just like old times. I think it is pretty rare that a couple fits perfectly with another couple, but we do. We picked up right where we left off and now I feel like I need to see them even more. As in January?

It had only been a couple of months since we had seen Griffin, Caitlin, and Fletcher, but that was too long. We love our wildly inappropriate fun we all have together. My life isn't complete without Caitlin. We have been so close for so many years that it doesn't seem real that they now live in Utah and we still live here. Can we un-real this situation?

I wanted to make sure we stopped at the Sweet Tooth Fairy. I wanted to try the VaNIElla Squared Cupcake since NieNie is always writing about it and it was named after her. Honestly, it wasn't very good. However, all the cake bites we got were amazing! The pumpkin bite was my favorite. So yummy.

We were also able to get together with my sister, Amanda. I missed her so much and can't wait for the day when she moves back to Georgia. She is so fun and funny. We had the craziest time shopping and spending time together.

Adam and I stayed our first night in Park City while we waited for our friends to come to town. It was very romantic and so beautiful. I love that guy.
