I am obsessed with this laugh. Seriously, I cannot get enough of it.

....
Now that I have shared something positive about Adam, I would like to see that he is forcing me to make Carson cry himself to sleep (I KNOW! HOW COULD HE???). Ok, I do kind of understand...we are getting to the point of desperation to get our child to sleep the whole night and in his own bed. How the heck do people do this?? I realize I should have been training him to sleep through the night and in his own bed a while ago but, how do I ignore his serious sadness? I have been hoping that he would just naturally figure out how to comfort himself back to sleep when he wakes in the middle of the night but, instead of getting better, things have been getting worse with each night, especially these past few weeks. He has already woken up once and I thought I might explode from heartbreak while I just listened to him scream. After an hour of him screaming and me going in there every 5 then 10 then 5 then 3 then 2 (haha, I know that's not what I am supposed to do) minutes, I rocked him to sleep. I am hoping he stays asleep for the rest of the night because I cannot do that again tonight. Too sad. Mean Adam, mean.
The dear husband of mine.
Big news for our family! Well, I have been meaning to blog about this for quite a few days. Adam was accepted into the nursing program at Georgia State. We were a little nervous that he wasn't getting in because his acceptance letter came a week after many of his classmates but, it came and he is in! I am really proud of Adam. He works so hard at his school work, he sets priorities, and he never takes shortcuts (qualities I never developed while in college). I am glad that he is closer now to finishing school and excited to see where the future takes us. What a hunk!

6 month check up.
Carson had his 6 month check up yesterday. He weighs 16 lbs. and is 27 in. He had to get his immunizations and the flu shot. After the first 3 shots Carson was turning a lovely shade of blue from holding in his scream. The nurse had to wait a second before giving the rest of the shots so that Carson to catch his breath. It was pretty dang sad. He continued to sob until we got him into the car and then he quickly fell asleep.
After a nice long nap, Carson was back to his wild self.
But, he definitely did not want us to forget what he had been through that day.
So we played with him all day to keep him distracted from his pain.
Isn't babies in bandaids the saddest?
For Erica, who wanted to see the awesome bumbo cover I won at http://bumbocovers.blogspot.com. I love it!
Carson also loves his new bumbo cover because it has those 2 black loops to connect his toys to so that even if he throws them, he can still reach them again. Perfect for both of us.

This is Carson in his 'Graham's wingman' onesie I created for the 2 babies. I can't wait to get a picture of Graham and Carson together in them.
Haha Adam "watched" the boys while Tracy took a shower and I took a break. What a good man.

6 whole months.
Newborn.
4 months.
6 months!

4 months.Six months has gone by way too fast. It honestly feels like yesterday that Carson and I were at the hospital and his entire body fit perfectly cuddled up to my chest. Now I only get to cuddle him when he has fallen into a deep sleep and doesn't know the difference. Sometimes I find myself staring at him, suprised at how much he has changed and learned. While I am excited for each stage of his development, I am sad to see my baby become less of a baby each day. I am beginning to understand why people have more than one :)

So sweet.
Carson has a serious runny nose which I am hoping is from teething because this is real bad timing for him to get sick with Graham just coming home. I gave him some Children's Tylenol last night (does that make me a bad mother?) so he could get some much needed sleep after not sleeping for 2 days. He slept till 5 this morning. Wonderful. He actually seems more pleasant today. Tylenol every night!! Kidding.
OH happy day!!!!!!
Everything is finally right. Graham is home! It is so great to finally have him here with all of us in our commune :) He is indeed the perfect addition. Carson seems shocked everytime Graham moves. I am loving having a baby around that still loves to cuddle. He is adorable and we are sooooo happy for Elliot and Tracy!
